Wedding Band History

The wedding band tradition dates back to ancient Egyptian time, while the exchangeCustom Jewelry of bands comes to us from the time of the Roman Empire where the bands were used as part of the public promise in the marriage contract between a man and a woman.
The band represents love, endless devotion, and eternity, as the band has no end. The band is worn on the forth finger, as this finger is directly connected to the heart. It is thought this is the “vein of love”. Depending on the tradition and country, the wedding band can be worn on either hand. Christians made the wedding bands part of the marriage ceremony.
